DEBORAH NOVAK has written, directed, and performed in over a thousand productions in theater, film, and television.   She has won three Emmy Awards for her PBS documentaries, has written three plays, which were produced in New York, authored books, journal articles, and published a textbook on musical theater with her mother, Dr. Elaine Novak.  Deborah graduated summa cum laude from New York University, where she studied with the legendary drama coach, Stella Adler, and received both a BA and MA in film and theater.  She has danced all her life, and has worked with ballet teachers such as Finis Jhung, Leon Danelian, and Patricia Wilde.  In addition, she holds a BFA in music composition from Marshall University.
