Welcome to Thunder on the Stage (TOTs), Marshall University’s annual talent show, sponsored by Housing and Residence Life and Student Activities! We can’t wait to see your performance and share your talent with the Marshall Community.
This year, TOTs will take place in a hybrid format, including a first round of online video submissions and voting, and final round of in-person performance (date/location TBD) with our top performers.

You will be required to submit a video to finalize your registration
While planning your act, please keep the following in mind:
- Acts are limited to 4 minutes or less.
- Thunder on the Stage attracts a diverse audience, reflective of Marshall University’s appreciation of diversity, and you should keep in mind the reactions viewers may have to your act. Acts that are in violation of Marshall University’s Student Code of Conduct, or excessively rude, vulgar, or offensive, may be excluded from the competition.
- The date and location of the final performance have not been set at this time.
- There is the potential for the final performance to happen in front of a large audience. If you enter the competition, you must be willing to perform in the final show if selected.
- All video content submitted has the potential to be shared through our social media platforms.
