Marshall to host steamroller printmaking event

Marshall University’s School of Art and Design will host a steamroller printmaking event from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in the parking lot between INTO Center and Gullickson Hall on the Marshall campus. In the case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Nov. 11.

Smith part of research team receiving $4.5 million from NSF

Dr. Jack Smith, a senior research staff member of Marshall University’s Center for Environmental, Geotechnical and Applied Sciences, was part of a research team that received a five-year, $4.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to build GeoEDF, a “plug-and-play” platform to allow researchers to easily access and process geospatial data.

Lecture series to present expert on gerrymandering in America

Marshall University’s Amicus Curiae Lecture Series will continue its Fall 2018 series with a presentation by Dr. Charles A. “Tony” Smith, speaking on “Gerrymandering in America: Revenge of the Anti-Federalists.” He will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall.
