Instructors who have not completed a portfolio must submit a syllabus for each course before the WI designation can be added.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/marshall.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_bNRRpIEtC8AslAq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Submit your syllabus here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/ctl\/files\/1-syllabus-evaluation-form-1.docx\">Syllabus Evaluation Form<\/a>. The questions from this form are included in the online syllabus submission form. You do not need to submit this form separately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>New WAC Instructor Certification<\/h2>\n<p>The certification process begins by attending a fall or spring WAC event for new WAC faculty.<br \/>\nMore information is available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/wac\/new-wac-certification\/\">two levels of WAC certification<\/a> and the certification process.<\/p>\n<h2>WAC Instructor Recertification<\/h2>\n<p>WAC faculty need to recertify every 3 years. There are several options for recertification, which are listed in the document linked below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/wac\/files\/2024\/09\/Writing-Across-the-Curriculum-WAC-Recertification-Guidelines.pdf\">Continue and Re-certify as WAC Instructor<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>WAC Portfolio Preparation<\/h2>\n<p>Faculty may choose to complete a WAC Portfolio. This streamlines the process of adding the WI designation to courses, and demonstrates a commitment to writing intensive pedagogy. Please join the &#8220;<strong>WAC<\/strong>&#8221; organization in MU Online for additional information.
