This active writing session is designed to guide you through the portfolio process and help you make significant progress on your portfolio. The workshop is a virtual synchronous event.<\/p>\n<p>REGISTRATION CLOSED.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Online Workshop for New WAC Faculty<\/strong><br \/>\nBegins September 22, 2025 and ends with workshop on October 24, 2025 | Online, asynchronous<\/p>\n<p>A professional development module on Blackboard allows new WAC faculty to gain their initial certification. It will begin with an asynchronous online portion on September 22 and end with attending the WAC Fall Workshop on October 24.<\/p>\n<p>REGISTRATION CLOSED.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WAC Fall Workshop<\/strong><br \/>\nOctober 24, 2025 | 9 am &#8211; 3 pm | Virtual<\/p>\n<p>This annual event allows new WAC faculty to certify and existing faculty to recertify.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/marshall.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_24r57NIySSKx8fI\">REGISTRATION<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Workshop for New WAC Faculty<\/h2>\n<p>After attending the Writing Across the Curriculum Workshop, you will have a class-ready syllabus, assignment ideas, and writing exercises specific to your course. You will also hear from long-time WAC certified faculty and receive peer support and feedback on your teaching materials. In this workshop, you will learn to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>design and teach a WI course<\/li>\n<li>create innovative assignments, assessments, and activities<\/li>\n<li>use low, medium, and high-stakes writing<\/li>\n<li>guide students throughout the writing process<\/li>\n<li>respond to and assess writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop for new faculty begins with an online, asynchronous portion starting September 22 and ends with attending the WAC Fall Workshop on October 24th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who should take the Workshop for New WAC Faculty?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New WAC instructors who will teach WAC courses in Spring 2026 or later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>WAC Fall Workshop<\/h2>\n<p>This annual event will be held virtually (via Teams) from 9:00 AM \u2013 3:00 PM.
