Canadian Hall of Fame Inductees Barenaked Ladies to Perform at the Keith-Albee

Moses Family Medicine and Riverside Physical Therapy present the iconic Canadian band Barenaked Ladies, performing at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center as the Marshall Artists Series opening show on Thursday, Oct.11 at 7:30 p.m. Barenaked Ladies will be performing fan favorites such as “One Week,” “If I Had $1,000,000,” and the theme song to The Big Bang Theory, as well as songs from their new album, Fake Nudes.

Huntington’s own Joe Lambiotte and Bud Carroll will perform as the opening act for this one-of-a kind performance.

First formed in 1988, Barenaked Ladies have a unique sound that they’ve made completely their own. “The way you get to 30 years together is by really working at it, by listening to each other and respecting each other,” said Ed Robertson, guitarist and vocalist, when reflecting on the band’s almost thirty years together.

Their eclectic musical tastes combined with their humor to create songs unlike any others. Barenaked Ladies has been known as a must-see live performance.

This veteran band encompasses many genres including pop, rock, hip hop, rap and many more. They’ve won eight JUNO Awards and been nominated for multiple Grammy awards. Barenaked Ladies have sold 14 million albums worldwide.

Barenaked Ladies were inspired to create their new album Fake Nudes by the current political climate. This album shows versatility in not only genres but lyrics as well. The ease of movement from one topic to the next showcases the out-of-the-box band perfectly.
