Faculty Achievement: Dr. Debra Lockwood


Dr. Debra Lockwood, assistant professor of special education in the College of Education and Professional Development Special Education, who is also serving as program coordinator and advisor, took six undergraduate students to the West Virginia Council for Exceptional Children Conference, “Implementing Universal Design for Learning to Enhance the Success of Students with Exceptionalities,” which took place last week at Glade Springs Resort in Daniels, West Virginia. The students presented at the conference about their participation in the “2018 COEPD Undergraduate Share Day” and also helped with the conference. The undergraduate special education students were Megan Posey, Megan Dilorenzo, Shelby Bellomy, Amanda Young, Kristen Lyrio-Takis and Samantha Nugen.
