Governor declares Juneteenth holiday for June 17

On Monday, Gov. Jim Justice declared Friday, June 17, a holiday for all West Virginia public employees in acknowledgement of the historical significance of Juneteenth, which became a federal holiday on June 17, 2021. The Movable Project and New Ohio Review Announce Winners of Recovery-Themed Writing Contest
