Partnership leads to changes in speed limit around Huntington campus

Steps are being taken to calm traffic and enhance pedestrian safety on major thoroughfares near Marshall University’s campus and in downtown Huntington. West Virginia Department of Transportation Secretary Jimmy Wriston has issued a temporary order reducing the speed limit to 25 mph from 35 mph on 3rd and 5th avenues between 6th and 20th streets. Aviation Maintenance program receives FAA certification

Marshall University and Mountwest Community and Technical College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program received its formal FAA certification today.  This makes the program the newest FAA Part 147 aviation maintenance technician school in the country and the first of its kind in the region. Marshall School of Medicine welcomes incoming residents, fellows

More than 94 incoming resident physicians and fellows officially began training July 1 at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Marshall’s newest cohort of trainees are from 45 medical schools across 13 different states and 10 countries. Thirty-seven are medical alumni from two of West Virginia’s medical schools.
