HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WMUL-FM) \u2014 More than 38,000 people in the state of West Virginia are living with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Alzheimer\u2019s Foundation of America is working to provide resources for people caring for those with Alzheimer\u2019s, according to the foundation\u2019s president Charles Fuschillo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cNobody goes on the journey alone, and that\u2019s what our services are,\u201d he said. \u201cTo make sure we are with you every step of the way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The foundation is traveling the country on their Educating America tour, with hopes of giving people the tools they need.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s critically important that people are educated about Alzheimer\u2019s disease, but also the services that are available,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Fuschillo said it is important to not overlook those who provide care and support.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe want to ensure that individuals that are caring for somebody know that there are many facets of caregiving, and we want to make sure that they have the right tools to go along the journey,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
