(WMUL-FM) \u2014 <span style=\"\">More than 38,000 people in the state of West Virginia are living with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">The Alzheimer\u2019s Foundation of America is working to provide resources for people caring for those with Alzheimer\u2019s, according to the foundation\u2019s president Charles Fuschillo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">\u201cNobody goes on the journey alone, and that\u2019s what our services are,\u201d he said. \u201cTo make sure we are with you every step of the way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">The foundation is traveling the country on their Educating America tour, with hopes of giving people the tools they need.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">\u201cIt\u2019s critically important that people are educated about Alzheimer\u2019s disease, but also the services that are available,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">Fuschillo said it is important to not overlook those who provide care and support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">\u201cWe want to ensure that individuals that are caring for somebody know that there are many facets of caregiving, and we want to make sure that they have the right tools to go along the journey,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">The conference will be held at the Marriott Town Center in Charleston, West Virginia on October 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">For more information about the Educating America Tour, visit <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/alzfdn.org\/\"><span style=\"\">alzfdn.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veronica Poynor can be reached at poynor@marshall.edu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><br style=\"\" \/><br style=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veronica Poynor, Continuity Director September 30, 2025 HUNTINGTON, W.Va.
