Va. (WMUL-FM) \u2014 <span style=\"\">February break took place this weekend and students took full advantage of the quick reset before midterm exams.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">Marshall University students have come to the first break in the spring 2026 semester. Some students decided to stay on campus or in the Huntington area, while others took this time to venture out, try new things and explore new places during the two day break.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">Student Jake Twargoski said he would be taking a trip with family, to escape campus for a few days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">&#8220;My dad and I are going to go on a road trip, as of right now, we don&#8217;t know where, but we\u2019re going to get out of Huntington for the couple of days,&#8221; Twargoski said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">Regardless if students have chosen to stay in town or venture out, love has filled the air, as Valentine&#8217;s Day falls on the Saturday of break.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">Some students have used this time to celebrate the love filled holiday by going out, having fun and spending quality time with their significant others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">Student Connor Brown said despite having to work until four p.m. on Valentine&#8217;s Day, he&#8217;s made the most of his time to spend the day with his girlfriend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">&#8220;Saturday is Valentine\u2019s Day [I&#8217;m] really excited for that, I do work until four, but me and my girlfriend are going to hangout and go to Dave &amp; Busters,&#8221; Brown said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">While some students chose to use the break to relax, others chose to make the most of their time during the four day weekend before they returned to classes the following Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/on.soundcloud.com\/UShV5RU1xltX49hPpk\"><span style=\"\">Listen to Nate\u2019s Package here.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"February Break - Nate Courtney 2-13-26 by WMUL-FM\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?visual=true&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F2267858129&#038;show_artwork=true&#038;maxheight=960&#038;maxwidth=640#?secret=eOIML8xbp4\" data-secret=\"eOIML8xbp4\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><br style=\"\" \/><br style=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Nate Courtney, Newscenter 88 Feb. 13, 2026 Listen Here HUNTINGTON, W.
