MOVC Week of Welcome Class of 2026: Get Ready for WOW! Check out the schedule for Week of Welcome 2022 at Marshall University’s Mid-Ohio Valley Center. All students will receive a printed schedule at WOW check-in. Students attending WOW at MOVC are invited to participate in the evening and weekend events on the Huntington campus. View a list of available activities under the activities tab. Friday, August 19 Time Activity Description 8:00 a.m. WOW Registration Start your MOVC Campus experience! Join us for a light breakfast, register for the day and pick up your WOW t-shirt and packet before your morning session begins. 8:30 a.m. UNI 100 Regional Campus Learn more about the services and opportunities available at your regional center. There are some things you need to know to get ready to start classes. Explore resources such as MU Library Services, MUOnline and the MU Alert system. This session will also include health and wellness. Topics include warning signs for at risk behaviors, such as sexual misconduct, substance misuse and emotional distress. 9:30 a.m. Break 9:45 a.m. Freshman Convocation MOVC students will view Freshman Convocation via LiveStream from the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center in Huntington. 11:00 a.m. Academic Expectations or TechUp Students will be divided into two groups to attend alternate sessions. One group will attend the Academic Expectations session to help you identify successful college habits and personal behaviors that will help you succeed. The other group will attend the TechUp session to have your questions answered about Blackboard, email, research, free software and the MU Mobile app. Noon Lunch & MU Student ID Session If you need a student ID made, you will have the opportunity to do this during lunch 1:00 p.m. Build-a-Bison Students will interact with each other while building a plush Marco. 1:30 p.m. Academic Expectations or TechUp Student groups will switch to attend the opposite session from this morning. 2:30 p.m. Question and Answer Session 3 p.m. Marshall Traditions – Who We Are and Who We Will Become Begin writing your story by considering your expectations and setting your goals for a successful future!
