Director of Development, College of Fine Arts
As director of development for the College of Fine Arts, Melanie oversees fundraising and works closely with college leadership to develop priority initiatives. In addition, she provides strategic counsel on all program and project development endeavors.
Melanie has a distinguished career in fundraising and executive leadership. Before joining Marshall, she served as a consultant with the nation’s oldest fundraising consulting firm working with educational, healthcare, and non-profit organizations in the Midwest and on the East Coast. Her experience also includes executive, development, and campaign leadership with schools, colleges and non-profit organizations in Virginia. She invests her volunteer time with child advocacy and arts organizations.
Melanie is a Huntington native and Marshall alumna. Marshall University is a family tradition. Her great grandfather is a 1904 graduate, her father received an MA in 1956, and Melanie’s daughter is currently in her second year of study at Marshall.
