Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson has been the Chief Financial Officer for the Marshall University Foundation since June 2008.  He is responsible for the financial operations and financial reporting.  He is also the Vice President of Administration for the Foundation and the Executive Director of the Marshall University Real Estate Foundation. 

Prior to joining the Marshall University Foundation, Scott served as the CFO for Comprecare, a specialty and home care pharmacy and respiratory company from 2000 to 2008, and held positions in public accounting with Hess, Stewart & Campbell, CPA’s from 1994 to 2000, and Price Waterhouse from 1992 to 1994. 

Scott’s past community involvement includes membership in the Kiwanis Club of Huntington, the AICPA, the WVSCPA, and the Huntington Estate Planning Council.  He is a member and Trustee of the First United Methodist Church in Huntington. He enjoys helping the United Way with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business in 1992 and his Master of Business Administration in 2009 from Marshall University.  He is a resident of Huntington along with his wife, Maribeth, his son and daughter, and their two dogs.  They all enjoy taking fresh air in the country, on the Ritter Park trails, or on the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health (PATH).
