FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New, free online course offered to high school students HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Technology Outreach Center is offering a new, free online course, “How to Succeed in College,” to high school students. This course will allow high school students to experience an online learning environment while acquiring valuable skills and information to help them prepare for college. Students, counselors and teachers may enroll in this non-credit course at any time throughout the school year. Some of the topics covered in the course include choosing a major, financial aid and scholarships, critical thinking, copyright laws, study skills, test taking skills, time management, library research tips, information literacy, Web 2.0 tools, health and wellness, stress management, and safety and diversity.
