Poet and essayist Danielle Cadena Deulen and novelist Chris Bachelder will read from their work on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Marshall University (location TBA). 

Danielle Cadena Deulen is a poet and essayist. Her collection of poems, Lovely Asunder, won the Miller Williams Arkansas Poetry Prize and was published with the University of Arkansas Press in 2011. Her memoir, The Riots, published with University of Georgia Press in 2011, won the 2010 AWP Prize in Creative Nonfiction and the 2012 GLCA New Writers Award. 

Chris Bachelder is a frequent contributor to the magazines McSweeney's Quarterly Concern and The Believer. He is the author of three novels, Bear vs. Shark (Scribner, 2002); U.S.! (Bloomsbury USA, 2006); and Abbott Awaits (Yellow Shoe Fiction, 2011), and one e-book, Lessons in Virtual Tour Photography (McSweeney's), which, by 2004, more than 45,000 people had downloaded.
