PEL 120 – Self Defense

This is a one credit course which will last half of the semester, or eight weeks. This class starts with self-defense education geared towards risk awareness, risk reduction, risk recognition and risk avoidance. The class will progress on to basic self defense skills that provide women with options should they find themselves in a physical confrontation. PEL 120 is only available during the Spring Semester.


PEL 220 – Advanced Self Defense

This is a one credit course which will last half of the semester, or eight weeks. This class builds on techniques and strategies from the basic class and adds defenses against the edged weapon and firearm. This program also covers more prone defense strategies, multiple subject encounters and even low and diffused light simulation exercises. PEL 220 is only available during the Fall semester.
