Program Description

The Department of Communication Disorders (CD) offers a bachelor of science degree in speech pathology. The undergraduate degree is a pre-professional degree that provides foundational knowledge required for graduate study in speech pathology. The entry level degree for speech pathology is the master’s degree.

A speech-language pathologist specializes in the evaluation, remediation, and prevention of communication disorders.

Admissions

All students declaring communication disorders as a major are classified as Pre-CD students. Admission to the program is required prior to enrolling in 300 level courses.
