Physical Plant Department
Sorrell Maintenance Building constructed in 1965, named in honor of Howard K. Sorrell, who was a service engineer at Marshall University for 35 years.
The Marshall University Physical Plant department is responsible
for the
repair, maintenance and operation of the buildings
and grounds of the
University. Department staff keep all
operating systems in good repair;
make the campus
a comfortable, safe and attractive place to learn, live,
work and play; and respond quickly to the emergency
maintenance
and repair needs of the campus community.
