Disclosure of Disability

Information about your disability that you provide to the Office of Disability Services is confidential.

The Office of Disability Services does not disclose any information about your disability to your instructors or advisors.  We will forward to the instructor ONLY the specific request that you have made for academic accommodations.

While you may choose to disclose the disability information to your instructor or advisor, should an instructor or advisor make this information public (e.g. saying something about your disability in class;making reference to the fact that you will be taking the exam with another program or in another location) please report the incident to the Dean of Student Affairs whose office is located in the Memorial Student Center, room 2W38.

The report should include:

1. Course information – Course number and instructor’s name

2. Date the incident occurred

3. A concise statement describing the incident

You should use your Marshall email account to submit your report to the Carla Lapelle, Interim Dean of Student Affairs at lapelle@marshall.edu.
