Banner Human Resources (BUG-H)

The implementation of Banner HR™ at Marshall University is supported by the Banner Users’ Group – Human Resources(BUG-H). BUG-H develops plans for the implementation of Banner HR™ functions, troubleshoots problems, assesses opportunities with particular components, coordinates a schedule for implementation, and provides user training.
There is one eligible voting member on the Banner Users’ Group-Human Resources representing the following departments: Human Resources, MU Budget Office, Academic Budget Office, Payroll, and Finance.  Departments may petition the BUG-H for voting membership.

GOVERNANCE OF THE BANNER USERS’ GROUPS

The Banner Oversight Committee has compiled a Policies and Procedures Manual for use by all of the Banner Users’ Groups. Procedures for the Resolution of Multiple ID/PIDM Problems and the Recommendation of the sub-committee on multiple ID/PIDMs approved by the BOC in May 2002.

The history of the Banner Users’ Group-Student is documented in the Banner Users’ Group History, Development, and Oversight document.

The Banner Oversight Committee developed a formal Change Assessment Form to be used for all change requests that affect the Banner application components.
