Writing Across the Curriculum
9th Annual Charles Lloyd Writing Symposium
Building a Community of Practice
April 17, 2015 in Drinko Library 402 Session Closed May 11, 2015 in the Shawkey Dining Room Session Closed
Writing Across the Curriculum at Marshall University focuses on the use of research-based practice in integrating writing of all kinds into teaching and learning. The WAC office coordinates faculty development for teachers in all disciplines who wish to incorporate writing into their courses or who teach writing intensive courses at Marshall. During the workshop faculty will be working on revising or designing a new course. Faculty can expect to be creating or revising course syllabi, course outlines, writing assignments, and assessment rubrics. The WAC Symposium is a space for you to think and talk about teaching, learning, and writing with colleagues and to create or revise your own course as a result.
Identical programming will be held on both days. Each session will start at noon and is expected to conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Space for both sessions is limited. Registration is required.
