Marshall’s Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program offers writing centered pedagogy to students in disciplines across the university. The WAC program was created by faculty and formally approved by the Faculty Senate in 1994. It is part of Marshall’s general education program.
Writing Intensive (WI) courses reinforce critical thinking skills by using writing in a substantial way to enhance learning. In these courses, writing is not an “extra activity” – it is an integral part of the learning process.
