The Marshall University Online College Courses in the High Schools Program offers qualified, highly motivated high school students the opportunity to take Marshall University courses online–100% via the Internet – for college credit while they are still enrolled in high school. OCCHS gives high school students the opportunity to learn from Marshall University instructors, who are master teachers, and to earn college credit.

OCCHS courses are offered at a cost savings rate of $25 per credit hour. OCCHS gives high school students the opportunity to earn college credit in an affordable, flexible, and convenient manner.

OCCHS courses may be designated as dual enrollment by high schools and county boards of education. For traditional dual credit in-class courses, please check out College Courses in the High Schools.

OCCHS courses are not designated as dual credit courses through Marshall University. If you intend to enroll as a freshman at an institution other than MU upon graduation from high school, please contact that institution directly to obtain information regarding transferability of courses and how any college course(s) taken while in high school might impact your enrollment status.
