We offer the following support to instructors:
Tutor Talk
A tutor will visit your class to inform your students about Writing Center services. Requests should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
To request these services, fill out the: Tutor Talk Request Form
Email the completed form to: writing@marshall.edu
Writing Assignment Sheets
Send your assignment sheet, rubric, and/or sample paper to writing@marshall.edu. The Director can distribute these materials to all tutors. When your students schedule an appointment, we will be better prepared to help them with that assignment.
Student Employment Referrals/Recommendations
If you have a student who is a strong writer and meets the requirements listed on our employment opportunities page, please encourage them to apply during our hiring period. You can also help with the process by filling out a Writing Center Recommendation Form (Word .docx) and sending it to writing@marshall.edu.
