Requesting Microfilm in Drinko Library Storage |
Microfilm listed with the location “Drinko Microfilm Basement Storage” will now be available by request only. Materials will be pulled 3 times a day, Monday through Friday, and can be picked up at the Drinko Circulation Desk.

Fall 2009 Library Research Instruction For UNI/HON |
This fall we plan to offer a new kind of library/research instruction for UNI and HON 101 classes. Rather than scheduling classes, we are scheduling content! It’s an experiment, one that we hope will provide first-year students with a more meaningful introduction to resources and research on the university level.

Dr. Monica Brooks appointed Assistant VP for Information Technology |
Dr. Monica Brooks, MUOnline Director of Instructional Design Skills and Assessment at Marshall University since March 2008, has been appointed Assistant Vice President for Information Technology: Online Learning and Libraries at MU. In her new role, which took effect July 1, Brooks continues to head up the MUOnline e-course division and is adding several library departments to her new duties.

Drinko Library Reorganization |
The first floor of Drinko Library is now home to a Learning Commons area, where students can write and conduct research in a comfortable atmosphere. The Writing Center is now located here. Other changes involve shifting of the Legal, the Appalachian, the Juvenile, and parts of the Music, book collections.
