About the Instructor
Professor Amine Oudghiri-Otmani is originally from 1,200 year-old Imperial Fes, Morocco. He started teaching with the Department of English in August 2011 and his Faculty Senator service in August 2014. He previously taught for Marshall’s ESL program from 2009 to 2011. Professor Oudghiri-Otmani also served as the Higher Education Representative, Vice-President, President, and currently the Advocacy & Policy Chair of West Virginia TESOL. He is Marshall University’s ACF (Advisory Council of Faculty) Representative before Faculty Senate; as part of his ACF service, he communicates with the Higher Education Policy Commission (HEPC) and the West Virginia legislature to tackle pressing issues of representation and governance. He also works with WV’s Senators and Congressional Representatives in Washington, DC on the most effective ways to develop the state’s English language programs and grow the international student population. Professor Oudghiri-Otmani enjoys playing tennis, reading, and driving for long distances.
