Originally from Georgia, Eric Smith has been teaching at Marshall since 2010. He has published poems and reviews in Five Points, Indiana Review, Pleiades, The Rumpus, Southwest Review, and in the poetry anthologies Old Flame: From the First Ten Years of 32 Poems and Best New Poets 2010. He edited the text-message poetry journal, cellpoems, until 2014.
