Accelerating Research Productivity

New faculty often struggle to jumpstart their own lines of research and labs. This is often complicated by the desire to publish and present research during their first two or three years while also teaching full-time. The key is to develop new and effective practices for a new environment. This session is designed to provide newer faculty with information about resources and research services on campus to help jumpstart their research productivity. The session will discuss information such as Marshall’s institutional review board (ORI), incorporating undergraduate and graduate students into research, working on grants, working with outside agencies, starting your own lab, writing abstracts, choosing appropriate venues for presentations and publications, and how to get started in both of these areas.
