Have you ever wondered how other faculty engaged their students in the classroom, managed classroom behaviors, or facilitated stimulating and provocative discussions?
This semester, the Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to introduce a new professional development opportunity for all faculty. Inspired by, and adapted from, a program at Vanderbilt University, Open Classrooms: A Week of Teaching Visits will provide faculty with opportunities to observe Open Classroom Scholars (individuals who demonstrate some of the very best classroom practices). Observers will study various teaching strategies in action, identify potential teaching mentors and partners, and gain ideas to use in their own classrooms.
Observations will occur during the week of April 3-7, 2017. A list of available courses and times may be found here (http://www.marshall.edu/ctl/?page_id=2900).
