WAC Activities for Online Engagement
Small writing activities can help keep students engaged when classes can’t meet in person. In this session, we will contrast three aspects of WAC pedagogy: writing to learn, writing to engage, and writing to communicate. We will present several methods to implement writing for engagement in practice. These activities can be integrated into distance class sessions across disciplines and levels, without requiring the entire course to be redesigned.
