New Faculty Programs Schedule

New Faculty Orientation includes six additional programs throughout the academic year to give you guidance and information a little at a time. Over the course of the Spring 2015 semester, we will host three workshops that focus on advising. In addition to the advising workshops, the Center for Teaching and Learning will host a reception for all faculty during Final Exam week in May. Following are the program and reception details:

January

Advising I:  Conceptual Components

In the first workshop, you will consider the conceptual components of advising, examine the core curriculum, and learn ways that BERT can facilitate the advising process.

Advising II:  Relational Components

In the second workshop, you will consider the relational components of advising, examine the college curriculum, and learn ways that the Student Success Collaboratory can facilitate the advising process.

Advising III:  Informational Components

In the last workshop, you will consider the informational components of advising, examine your program/major requirements, and learn ways to use Degree Works to facilitate the advising process.

Faculty Reception

All faculty are invited to take a break from grading and stop by for refreshments and relaxation.
