New Faculty Programs

As a part of our New Faculty Orientation program, The Center for Teaching and Learning hosts a series of events for new faculty throughout the year. These events are intended to follow up the Orientation program by providing you with information as it is needed during the fall and spring semesters.

New Faculty Seminar is held three times a semester and expands on topics touched on during orientation. Sessions are usually scheduled for Friday afternoon and held virtually via Teams.

Basics of Pedagogy: Instruction and Assessment is an asynchronous, online training designed specifically for new and early-career faculty, as well as graduate students interested in teaching.

Critical Thinking (CT) Certification is required to meet university requirements while teaching a CT-designated course.
