Located at the West Virginia Yeager International Airport (CRW) in Charleston, WV, the Bill Noe Flight School’s professional pilot degree program is helping meet the nation’s significant need for commercial pilots. Marshall’s ground and flight courses prepare graduates to become commercial pilots of single and multi-engine aircraft.

Marshall Aviation’s Professional Pilot, B.S., degree program is also available in Wheeling, W.V. and Martinsburg, W.V.

*The Professional Pilot program is not eligible for Veterans Affairs benefits at this time.

Aviation Maintenance Technology, A.A.S.

Complete Your Degree in just 24 months

Located at the Huntington Tri-State Airport in Huntington, WV, the aviation maintenance technology (AMT) program is a joint offering of Marshall University and Mountwest Community and Technical College. This program will prepare you for a multitude of career options with major airlines, manufacturers, repair stations, structural repair facilities and other organizations in the aviation industry.

It is estimated that over the next two decades, 143,000 new pilots will need to be trained and ready to fly commercial airliners to meet the demand for air travel.

In the United States, the aviation industry has a need for 132,000 technicians between 2021 and 2041. Over the next few years approximately 30% of the existing aviation technology workforce is going to retire creating thousands of positions for new technicians.
