Undergraduate Admissions
College Graduates/Special Students

Welcome to Marshall University!

If you’ve already earned your baccalaureate degree and would like to enroll in additional undergraduate classes, Marshall University has two options. Check out the options below to determine which path is right for you! (If this doesn’t sound like you, please visit our Admissions page to review other types of students who can apply to Marshall.)

Earning a Second Baccalaureate Degree

If you would like to pursue a second baccalaureate degree, you can apply as a transfer student, please visit our Transfer Admissions page for information on the application process. In addition to being admitted as a transfer student, earning a second degree also requires:

Completing all major and minor requirements of the desired degree,
Completing at least 30 additional hours beyond those required for your first bachelor’s degree, and
Meeting the minimum residency requirement of 24 semester credit hours at Marshall.

Taking Courses without Earning a Degree

If you’d like to enroll in undergraduate courses without earning a second degree, apply to be a special student. While studying at Marshall, special students can earn prerequisites to apply to another academic program but are not eligible for financial aid and cannot earn a degree.

If you need more help, please open the chat on the bottom right of the screen or contact the Office of Admissions. Let’s get started!
