Biography
Kristy Jo Wood is a North & Eastern Panhandle School-wide Behavior Support Specialist with West Virginia Behavior/Mental Health Technical Assistance Center, located at Marshall University. She earned a BA in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Early Childhood, from Glenville State in 2002 and a MA in Reading from WVU in 2005. In addition to being a state certified Reading Specialist, she holds certifications in Health and Special Education. Kristy Jo was employed by Braxton County Schools for 23 years, serving in various positions including classroom teacher, reading specialist, special education collaborative teacher, and CIS coordinator. While most of those years were at the elementary level, she spent the last 7 at Braxton County High School.
