Students living in our campus residence halls are required to have a meal plan. Marshall Dining offers a variety of options and flexible plans, making it easy to find a routine that fits your schedule and lifestyle. With 13 different dining locations across campus, there is always something good to eat.
Resident students select a meal plan when completing the Housing Agreement. Resident meal plans cannot be changed after August 1. For questions about our dining plans, please contact housing@marshall.edu or 304-696-6765.
Types of Meal Plans
Weekly Meal Plans give you a set number of meals that reset each Monday. If you have a predictable schedule & know you are going to eat mostly at Harless dining Hall, this may be the meal plan for you.
Semester Meal Plans give you all your meals upfront with no weekly reset. Theses plans are ideal for students who want flexibility without tracking a weekly budget. If you have an unpredictable schedule & don’t know where or when you are going to eat on campus from day to day, this may be the meal plan for you.
Understanding Meal Options:
- Inclusive Dining Options: Marshall Dining offers menus that accommodate vegetarian, vegan and allergen-friendly needs.
- Meal Swipes: One swipe covers a breakfast, lunch or dinner at Harless Dining Hall with All-You-Care-to-Eat Access (enter Harless for a single swipe, stay as long as you want).
- Dining Dollars: Included with every plan and can be used tax-free at campus dining locations.
- Meal Exchange: Combine Meal Swipes with Dining Dollars to enjoy set meal combos at select retail locations in the Memorial Student Center and Towers Marketplace.
Things to note:
- Unused meals do not carry over each week or semester and cannot be refunded.
- You may donate up to four (4) unused swipes to the Marco Meal Share each semester.
- Dining Dollars carry over from the Fall to Spring semester with the purchase of a new meal plan.
- All plans expire at the end of Spring semester.
- Herd Points are a campus currency that can be added to your ID card online or at designated machines around campus. HerdPoints can be used to purchase food, drinks and other items on campus and come with a 10% discount at retail dining locations. HerdPoints cannot be used for Meal Exchange.
