Systems Maintenance, Automation and Robotics Technology (SMART) Program
The Systems Maintenance, Automation and Robotics Technology (SMART) program prepares students for entry to intermediate-level careers as systems maintenance specialists in modern industrial environments, maintaining and repairing manufacturing, automation and robotics equipment and systems. The program’s flexible approach allows students to design their career path in a variety of specializations that align with the needs of various types of manufacturers in the region.
Degree and Certification Options
Students have the option to earn a certificate in applied science (one-year program) or an associate of applied science degree (two-year program) through our partnership with Mountwest Community and Technical College. Along the way, students earn a variety of industry recognized credentials and skill-set certificates.
Optional specializations are also available for the AAS degree.
Location
Cohorts are offered at the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) in Huntington, WV and at the Mid-Ohio Valley Center (MOVC) in Point Pleasant, WV.
