2025 Schedule of Events

FRIDAY, OCT. 17

12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Parent & Family Weekend Check-In
INFO: If you’re attending Parent & Family Weekend, be sure to come by the Memorial Student Lobby for check-in to receive your t-shirts, meal tickets, and information for the weekend’s activities. For more information, contact Dr. Gabe Brown at brownga@marshall.edu.

12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Party on the Plaza
INFO: Open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members — join us on the plaza for a jam packed event with Texas Roadhouse, Chick-Fil-A, Pepsi products, Italian Ice, and a ton of free prizes given away every 30 minutes!

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Marshall Mixer
INFO: Join us inside the Memorial Student Center for a fun mixer with a cash bar and gameshow fun!

5:00 p.m. – Marshall Softball vs. University of Charleston
INFO: Cheer on Marshall Softball as they take on the University of Charleston at The Dot! Tickets are available here.

6:00 p.m. – Marshall Women’s Volleyball vs. ULM
INFO: Cheer on Marshall Women’s Volleyball as they take on ULM at The Cam! Tickets are available here.

6:00 p.m. – Homecoming Parade
INFO: What’s homecoming without a parade! Starting in Downtown Huntington on 4th Ave and ending in front of the Memorial Student Center on 5th Ave, join us for an exciting parade with music, floats, and homecoming spirit.

7:00 p.m. – Homecoming Bonfire
INFO: Immediately following the Homecoming Parade, join us on Harless Field for a pep rally and bonfire. Our Marshall community can enjoy a bonfire with entertainment from the Marching Thunder, Marshall University cheerleaders, plus activities and appearances by Marshall coaches and players!

8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Family Feud
INFO: Join us for an evening of Family Feud in the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse! Families will go head-to-head for chances to win fun prizes and make memories to last a lifetime.

10:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Silent Disco
INFO: Get ready for a dance party like no other this Homecoming. Homecoming 24’s  most popular event is back by popular demand. 3 DJ’s, 2 many glow sticks, and 1 dance floor! Grab a pair of wireless headphones, pick your station, and dance the night away to the beats you want to hear, whether its hip hop, R&B, throwbacks, or pop bangers, we have it! Event will be in the Don Morris Room on the second floor of the Memorial Student Center.

 

SATURDAY, OCT. 18

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Putt-Putt
INFO: Start game day off right with some mini golf fun in the Don Morris Room on the second level of the Memorial Student Center.

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Build-A-Bison
INFO: Visit the Flex Space inside the Memorial Student Center Lobby to build your very own Marco! Build-A-Bison will be $20 per bison, CASH ONLY!

12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Parent & Family Weekend Tailgate
INFO: Join us between Freshman North & South before the game for a Parent & Family Tailgate! Tickets are required and are part of your package.

3:30 p.m. – Marshall Football vs. Texas State
INFO: Cheer on Marshall Football as they take on Texas State at The Joan!

3:30 p.m. – Marshall Royalty Crowning
INFO: Join us for the halftime presentation of this year’s Marshall Royalty!

 

SUNDAY, OCT. 19

10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Stadium Tours
INFO: Get an exclusive tour of the Joan C. Edwards skyboxes!

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Brunch
INFO: Visit Harless Dining Hall for brunch to close out the weekend. Meal tickets are required.

We’re excited to offer a Parent & Family Weekend Package for $100, designed for two people:

  • Two Marshall T-Shirts (1 per person, with early registration by Sept. 19)
  • Four Meals (2 per person)
  • Two Clear Marshall Stadium Bags (1 per person)
  • Personalized Access Code to Purchase $15 Football Tickets (for Oct. 18)

Need to add more family members? No problem! Additional people can join the fun for just $25 per person.

*You will NOT need to purchase a football ticket for your student in order for them to sit with you. Their free student ticket will allow them to sit with you.
