And no Open House is complete without a tour of campus. Join our dedicated Admissions staff as they show off our beautiful campus, while answering 73 questions about campus and what they love about Marshall. Your open house experience continues with a private bike tour hosted by our very own President, Dr. Jerome Gilbert. Join Dr. Gilbert as he jumps on his bike and takes you from his home near Ritter Park, by the School of Pharmacy, and then right down the center of campus
Daily Tours
We would love for you to come explore our beautiful campus in Huntington, W. Va. We offer private campus tours Monday through Friday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. A member of our Admissions staff will guide you through campus, highlighting such locations as Drinko Library, the Recreation Center, and the Memorial Student Center and Fountain. Along the way your guide will answer any enrollment question you may have. And if you are a senior in high school, you can complete an application on the day of your visit and the $40 application fee will be waived.
There are two ways you can register for a campus tour. You can call our office at 304-696-3646 or 877-GOHERD-1 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, or you can register online. Join Marshall University’s Admissions staff as they show you around campus and answer 73 questions about what makes Marshall a great place to live and learn.
From the newly renovated Memorial Student Center, to Smith Hall Educational Complex, the Admissions – Recruitment staff (all Sons and Daughters of Marshall) will show you all the best places to study and hang-out on our compact campus, which was voted most beautiful in West Virginia.

One-on-One Virtual Visit
Enjoy a private tour of campus via Skype. During each live Skype session, a Recruitment Coordinator will take you for a personally guided tour. This knowledgeable staff member will highlight locations across campus and provide you with information on all things Marshall. Tours will be conducted one-one-one giving you an in-depth opportunity to ask questions. Each tour will last approximately one hour.
Note, currently all of Marshall’s classes are being offered online, so the one-on-one visits will not include the interior of University buildings.
