Almost any day is a great day to visit Marshall’s Huntington, West Virginia, campus through our daily tour and presentation program. We offer tours Monday through Friday (excluding university holidays) at 10 a.m., Mondays and Fridays at 2 p.m., and on select Saturdays each month. In order to ensure the best possible tour experience for our visitors, we do limit the number of reservations for each tour session.
Your visit will begin with a presentation by one of our recruitment coordinators to highlight Marshall’s academic and student success programs, as well as our admissions and financial aid application processes. Then you will depart on a student-led walking tour that takes you through our entire campus and highlights such locations as the Drinko Library, the Recreation Center, and the Memorial Student Center. Each tour lasts approximately two hours.
There are many optional activities you can participate in while visiting our campus, such as meeting with a professor, sitting in on a class or visiting the university bookstore. Please let us know when scheduling your tour if you would like to make additional appointments.
There are two ways you can register for a campus tour. You can call our office at 304-696-3646 or 877-GOHERD-1 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, or you can register online. Please note that our online tour registration requires you to create a user account.
Marshall Group Visits
Marshall University welcomes teacher/counselor-led groups, classes, clubs and organizations to our campus. We have suggested itineraries for different age groups, but can also accommodate special requests. We will personalize your tour to meet your group’s needs Monday – Friday (excluding holidays). Please note that there may be limitations due to availability of staff, room locations, group sizes, and peak recruitment times.
