The graduate program in Environmental Science gave me a chance to fully explore my interest in this inter-disciplinary field and enabled me to land my first job in environmental work. The variety of courses, as well as the full-time and adjunct professors who work every day in the fields they teach, help make the graduate program effective and dynamic.

I just received a letter from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Managers that I passed the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager examination of December 01, 06. But I’d like to point out how well my education at Marshall prepared me for the safety field. I have now taken the exams for the ASP, CSP, CAIH, and CHMM and passed each exam on my first try—even though the passing rates for these exams only run about 50 to 70 percent. The Safety Technology department at MU has done well.
