About
Dr. Hancock’s research interests are in Writing Studies, particularly in how genres shape the circulation of disciplinary knowledge, and how faculty across disciplines define their own writing practices and evaluate their students’ writing. Her research interests also include a focus on how Professional Writing courses can teach students about professional writing genres, but also how to design them to be more inclusive of diverse audiences.
