GenCyber Conference

GenCyber: Conference is a part of post-camp activities to be held at Marshall University as a part of GenCyber: Adventure Zone Teacher Academy.

The conference date is April 20, 2024. We welcome any teachers interested in the conference regardless of their participation in the GenCyber Teacher Summer camp.

Conference Details

The conference will be open to all teachers from the Tri-state area to participate and share their opinions and create a network. Any teachers from the Tri-State area will have an opportunity to share their success stories with other teachers on their implementation of computing and cybersecurity subjects into their classroom subjects.

Conference Title: Cybersecurity and Computing in the Classroom: Empowering K-12 Educators Conference

Event Details: This event will showcase presentations from GenCyber Teacher Camp participants and other programs. Each presenter will share valuable insights and practical methods for integrating computing and cybersecurity concepts and practices into their classroom teachings.

  • Location: Shawkey Room – Memorial Student Center / Marshall University, Huntington, WV
  • Format: Hybrid (in-person and online)
  • Registration Deadline: April 5, 2024

  • If you want to be a presenter, please make sure that your presentation should answer at least the following questions:
    • How have you implemented the skills learned at the GenCyber Teacher Camp or any other programs in your classroom?
    • Can you share a success story or a particular challenge you overcame while teaching cybersecurity or computing subjects?
    • How many students are exposed to cybersecurity and computing education in your classroom after the camp or any other programs?

Stipends & Prizes: Each presenter will get a stipend.
