Biography

Stefany joined the HELP Program as a Graduate Assistant in 2024 while completing her master’s degree in Communication Studies at Marshall University. Before that, she spent several years working in the field of communication, focusing on building connections with individuals, teams, and communities. Growing up in a household with two teacher parents, education has always played a significant role in her life. Since high school, she has tutored students in a variety of subjects and views communication and education as a powerful combination.

She currently serves as the Medical HELP Learning Specialist at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where she supports medical and physician assistant students. Her work focuses on strengthening students’ study strategies, learning techniques, and test-taking skills, especially as they navigate the demands of a challenging curriculum.

Stefany moved to Huntington, WV, in 2023 and enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the community during her free time.
