At the Marshall University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (iCenter), we believe in the power of people with big ideas and we’re proud to be a launchpad for entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of West Virginia’s economy. Through our partnership with nationally ranked startup accelerator gener8tor, we are proud to offer gBETA at Marshall’s iCenter Powered by Quality Insights – a free, seven-week accelerator program designed to help early-stage startups make rapid progress toward scalability and investment.

This program reflects our commitment to growing West Virginia’s innovation economy by equipping founders with the tools, connections, and confidence they need to build sustainable, impactful companies.

What is gBETA at Marshall’s iCenter?

gBETA at Marshall’s iCenter is a seven-week no-cost, no-equity accelerator for early-stage startups with roots in West Virginia. Hosted by the iCenter, ran by gener8tor, and sponsored by Quality Insights, the program provides:

  • Individualized coaching and mentorship from the team of nationally ranked accelerator gener8tor on company growth and investor readiness
  • Weekly “Lunch & Learns” and “Mentor Swarms”
  • Investor and accelerator pitches
  • $1M+ in deals and perks from vendors like IBM Cloud, Rackspace, Amazon, Paypal, Zendesk, Hubspot and Microsoft
  • Ongoing post-program support and gener8tor community involvement and offerings

gBETA’s goal is that graduates will go on to participate in an investment accelerator or raise a seed round. You can see gBETA’s progress against these goals here.

BioImaginix

BioImaginix develops AI-powered medical imaging analysis platforms that help clinicians diagnose neurodegenerative diseases more quickly and accurately. BioImaginix’s core technology uses AI and machine learning to analyze MRI scans for Alzheimer’s disease detection and patient stratification, with the flexibility to expand across additional imaging modalities such as PET and X-ray. BioImaginix was founded in 2022 in Morgantown, WV and has completed SBIR Phase 1, is focused on applying to Phase II, and is building towards an FDA-approved imaging platform that enables providers anywhere in the world to upload scans and receive AI-supported diagnostic insights in real time.

BurqOra unifies real-time workforce governance, operational intelligence, workflow orchestration, and financial infrastructure on a single proprietary engine, spanning the full employee and store lifecycle for multi-location retail and service businesses. BurqOra launched in 2025, out of Parkersburg, WV, and has integrated across four locations, expanding to its first external customer across six additional locations with integrations spanning Vertex, MasterTax, ERPs, and Plaid.

Huntington Analytics builds data and market research for the next generation of media and sentiment analysis tools. Huntington Analytics scores content across a growing set of psychological vectors, measuring the emotion behind the data — not just the volume — so creators understand the real impact of what they publish. Since launching in Huntington, WV in January 2026, Huntington Analytics has validated its 119-dimension psychological methodology across a wide variety of content using EEG and FMRI testing, and is now partnering with generative media companies to expand the platform.

Moffeus helps employers discover and hire early talent by capturing signals from students’ coursework, projects, and interests over time, then making them actionable for opportunities across internships, co-ops, research, and entry-level roles. Using AI and persistent memory, Moffeus positions students with richer context than resumes while helping employers build talent pipelines and automate hiring workflows. Moffeus is based in Wheeling, WV and since launching in 2025 has secured a paid pilot, grown to 50 employers, and partnered with 2 universities and 1 school district.

Parthian merges battery intelligence and logistics into a marketplace platform, enabling users to buy and sell retired EV batteries with the same ease and confidence as new batteries. Parthian serves automotive salvage yards, EV OEMs, battery recyclers, and energy storage companies that use the platform to process, source, and sell batteries with transparent, verified asset quality. Parthian is based in Morgantown, WV and has formed strategic partnerships with enterprise users to support platform launch and has secured more than $600,000 in combined venture and non-dilutive funding.

Join us for the gBETA at Marshall’s iCenter Summer 2026 Showcase, where startup founders from the latest accelerator cohort will present their businesses, share their progress, and connect with community leaders, investors, and supporters. The event highlights innovative companies building solutions across a variety of industries and celebrates the entrepreneurial talent growing in the region. The showcase will be held on July 9, 2026, from 5–7 p.m. at the Brad D. Smith Center for Business & Innovation.
