Marshall University’s College of Engineering and Computer Sciences (CECS) will host an Open House event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Weisberg Applied Engineering Complex, 1676 3rd Ave. The open house follows Green and White Day activities on campus, and all are welcome.

Students, potential students, and families can tour the engineering and computer sciences facility to see what the classrooms are like, to explore the laboratories and to meet faculty and staff.

“CECS has decided to have this ‘first-of-its-kind’ open house in our facilities to allow the general public to become aware of our programs and the opportunities for students in West Virginia and the Tri-State area,” said Dr. David Dampier, dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. “We hope that this event will make people aware of what we do and the kinds of things students can learn at Marshall’s College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. We look forward to a great turnout.”

The Weisberg Applied Engineering Complex is home to classes in the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
