The Marshall University School of Pharmacy has launched a student wellness program in partnership with Walgreens. The initiative will include resources to support physical, mental and financial health.

“This comprehensive program, generously sponsored by Walgreens, underscores our commitment to educate and ensure the well-being of the next generation of pharmacists,” said Eric Blough, Ph.D., dean of the School of Pharmacy.

The Walgreens Wellness Program will address topics such as nutrition, fitness, stress management, preventative care, health screenings and money management. The first program event, scheduled for September 26, will emphasize the importance of self-care.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Marshall University School of Pharmacy to launch this program,” said Rob Duncan, Pharm.D., area health care supervisor at Walgreens. “We deeply understand the significance of cultivating a healthy lifestyle among pharmacy students. By providing resources that promote wellness, our aim is to empower students to excel both academically and personally.”
