Marshall University School of Pharmacy students took second place this weekend in an Over-The Counter (OTC) Challenge Competition during the 116th annual West Virginia Pharmacist Association meeting in Roanoke, West Virginia.

Second-year pharmacy students Justin Ritchie, Dakota Parnell, Emily Elkins and Monis Ali (pictured left to right) competed as a team to distinguish key facts about over-the-counter medications including how they work, what they are used for, dosages and durations, and symptoms they manage.

“It’s a privilege to watch our students’ skills advance and exciting to have them represent us at the state level,” said Angel Kimble, Pharm.D., assistant professor at the School of Pharmacy.
