The project is titled “Teaching AI How We Teach: An AI-Enabled Skills-to-Knowledge Graph and Implementation Intelligence Agent for Learning Mobility” and will create an AI-enabled Skills-to-Knowledge Graph, further validating that the skills Marshall students are learning in class are applicable skills necessary for the workforce.
“Incorporating AI into our educational process in this way helps our students learn the skillset employers are looking for,” said Julia Spears, Marshall University assistant provost of online education and certification. “If we can create a more prepared workforce for our state, everyone benefits.”
The project will pilot four academic majors including public administration, communication disorders, cybersecurity and pharmaceutical sciences.
After a successful project implementation, the grant team hopes to scale the project to the other academic programs at Marshall and then to other colleges and universities across the state.
The Marshall team working on the grant includes Marshall Online staff members Julia Spears, Mary Welch, Kish Price and David Wiley, Marshall’s Chief Academic AI Officer.
