The campuswide event will bring together students, faculty, staff and community partners to celebrate and strengthen collegiate recovery. Attendees can enjoy live music, hear from student and community speakers, participate in interactive activities and connect with local resources during a community resource fair.
“The Power of Us” highlights the importance of connection in recovery, aiming to reduce stigma while showcasing how collaboration supports student success, well-being and long-term recovery outcomes.
The event is part of National Collegiate Recovery Week, observed April 13-17, which raises awareness about the vital role recovery support services play on college campuses and emphasizes how recovery and higher education go hand in hand. The week builds on Collegiate Recovery Day, recognized annually on April 15 by the Association of Recovery in Higher Education, founded in 2010.
Over time, Collegiate Recovery Day has grown into a weeklong celebration of advocacy and connection. Across the country, campuses and community partners host events, share stories and promote recovery-friendly environments that empower students to thrive. This year marks 16 years of the Association of Recovery in Higher Education and the continued growth of the collegiate recovery movement. Through advocacy, visibility and partnership, recovery in higher education continues to expand, helping more students find hope, belonging and the support they need to succeed.
Community members, students, campus partners and media are encouraged to attend and show their support for recovery on campus.
