The national award recognizes individuals who have provided exemplary leadership and service to AACP and academic pharmacy. Brazeau was selected for more than two decades of meaningful contributions to scholarship in education and for her sustained influence on the advancement of the academy.
Brazeau has served AACP and academic pharmacy through leadership, scholarship and advocacy. As chair of the AACP Council of Faculties from 2003 to 2004, she advanced evidence-based pharmacy education, supported the Best Evidence Pharmacy Education Task Force and contributed to national conversations on advocacy, outreach, faculty recruitment and retention.
She is also widely recognized for her leadership of the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, where she served as associate editor for 10 years and editor-in-chief for 11 years. During her tenure, she helped modernize journal operations, expand the editorial team, strengthen reviewer development and recognition programs, launch the Joseph T. DiPiro Excellence in Publishing Workshop and guide themed issues on major topics in pharmacy education.

Brazeau currently serves as Scholar in Residence in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Marshall University School of Pharmacy and previously guided the school as dean. Her work has addressed faculty success, professional development, teaching innovation, student success, graduate education, wellbeing, psychological safety and leadership transitions in academic pharmacy.
The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy represents pharmacy education and supports the advancement of academic pharmacy through leadership, research, scholarship and professional development.
